Tales on Thursday

Sometimes beans fink they see fings, or do they know? Us furrys, we see what they can't and we feel what they block out .... Here is a tale we has heard The Mom say, we will let yoo decide if yoo believe or not!

A long time ago when Shadow's boy was a young bean, they had a black cat named Ninja. Ninja loved being an indoor / outdoor kitty. The mom was always afraid for him to be that way but Ninja wudn't stop askin to go out. One dark night in October, she had a knock at da door. A bean neighbor who knew Ninja, said he had bad news.

Mom followed the bean neighbor blindly, to see her kitty Ninja, laying just along the driveway. Sum bean had hit him and left him there. The mom stood there blocking the way as cars tried to get by. She was tearful and wanted to at least give him a proper burial as a whole kitty, not a ::whispers:: mashed one.

They buried Ninja, in the back yard of the apartments she lived in. A few days after she buried Ninja, the neighbor bean said she saw Ninja just outside her window. The mom shook her head and said not possible. The neighbor bean swore it was him though! A year later The mom and beans moved from there.

In her new house, she swore she kept seeing a black cat. She did not own a black cat then. Where ever she walked, just as if Ninja was still there, the shadow walked with her. Yoo see Ninja, always kept a close eye on The Mom. Finally after many months of this shadow, the mom broke.

She turned towards the shadow cat and said "I'm okay Ninja, yoo don't have to watch over me now. Go be with your brother Zeppy (he died of lukemia) and be happy." Tears filled the mom's eyes as she said this, but she knew it was for the best. The shadow cat, walked through the mom's legs and rubbed up against them (so she felt like) and disappeared.

From that point forward, she never saw his shadow lurking in that house or any other place there after.

So kittys, do yoo believe? Do yoo has a story to tell ? If yoo do post it to yer blog or email us yer story. If we get enough stories we can host them on our blog to tell a tale on Thursday.

Oh that's a very good story! The Woman had a bun when she was a little girl. The bun lived in the basement where she used to play with her dolls. One day the bun decided he was old and would go to the bridge and the Woman sadly discovered this fact while she was down there. Ever since there has been a black shadowy figure around the house and especially the basement just kind of looking out for everyone.

What a wonderful story that was - well, not the part where Ninja died but the rest of it.

We wish we had a story but we don't. Mom begged one of her kitties to come to her after she died but nothing. Sometimes she wonders if Mignon came back as Ninna, though (the same close bond is there).

Yep - Mommy swears that every now and then she feels a cat jump up on the bed, but when she looks none of us are around - she's sure it's her Basil snuggling in for the night, just like he always used to. Furbabies are good that way, they stay with the beans when they need them.

I believe, I definitely do! I wish I had a good story like that to treasure.

Wow, great story, you have our lady's eyes leaking! She truly believes in stories like that. She likes to believe that kitties that come to her needing help and homes are sent from her beloved kitties who have gone to the rainbow bridge.

My Barney was a beautiful white cat with green eyes. He died at the age of 17 and even at his age, it was sudden & unexpected. He died about 3 months before our new house was completed. I was sad he would never see the screened porch or all the windows at the new house. I know he would have loved living here. As we were making a last sweep of the old house, for some reason I reached up high on a closet shelf. I found a beautiful photo of Barney there. I don't know if it was a sign from him, but it seemed like it. I brought it to the new house and it is displayed proudly in my office here. It's been five years since he died and I still miss the sweet guy.

I very much believe that story is true.

My mommy has had a lot of furry babies in her life, and she has noticed that a lot of them like to linger on until you tell them it is ok to leave for the bridge. Just recently Alyeska was still hanging out in the grandparent's basement, like she wasn't sure it was ok for her to leave yet or not. Mommy and Grandmama kept telling her it was ok for her to go ahead of them, and she finally left.

That was a beautiful story about Ninja. Mommy's eyes leaked.

That is a wonderful example of how our and their love goes on. I iz not going to call it a story because so many of us have these experiences.

This is why it is very impawtant when our loved ones, hairless and furry babies alike, pass away that we let them know we will be ok and it is ok for them to move on, in fact we has to show them (pretend even) that we will be ok, and remember only happy things, otherwise they will worry too much to leave us and stay here when they could be in the light being happy and carefree.
You haz warmed Momma and I's heart today!! We iz both so very happy that you told us your experience :))

That was a spooky story! Mom has never seen ant of the kitties that are at the Bridge, but says that sometimes she wakes in the night when a cat jumps on the bed. She looks to see it but there is no cat around....

Our mum believes. She believes that when you love someone, you create a force that is too strong to be broken.

What an amazing story! Mummy's often felt that her old meezer queen (Barbie-Q) was still with her at times, she was utterly protective of Mummy and D'Boy when he was born - not letting anyone but Mummy pick him up. Mummy feels that it was Barbie-Q who helped bring Ramses to her and through him to me...
