Old Man Gunner

This poor dear is in need of an IMMEDIATE FOSTER HOME !!

He is 20 years of age and just needs that tlc before it is his time to leave this earth..
QUIET FOSTER HOME NEEDED!!

Brought in by a woman who clearly did not care... gunner was placed on the floor and she quoted" i do not care what you do with it... i just am leaving it here"

This was one thing none of us here needed... or wanted to hear from someone... Clearly she did not understand what the cat will go through nor did she care what he would feel, being left at a shelter... nor the love he needs especially at this fragile time in his life...

Gunner is a calm, warm, compassionate, loving cat who just wants to cuddle up with you and receive some love... He does not want to be in a cage, nor do we desire to keep him in one...

Happy 2nd Gotcha Day Trooder!

Two years ago, Trooder was in a cage, at PetSmart waiting to be adopted. Trooder came from Grayson County Humane Society in Kentucky because there was no more room there. Trooder's wish for today is to help the other furries at Grayson.

Yoo see kittehs and woofies, dat shelter tries furry hard to find homes fer all dere furry furiends, but they are now on over load. So many beans dont do the responcible fing by spaying and nuetering OR some are just mean and will dump their fureind there acuz they "can't afford them, don't have enough time or are moving". To the mom and many those terms are unacceptable, we ARE part of the family! You wouldn't dump your child, mom, grandparents somewhere to be looked after by strangers would you?

Look at Graysons page, and if yoo can't adopt, donate or even send sum yummy treats or food to dem.

9/11 - We will never forget!

Our post today was posted at the time the first Twin Tower was reported to have been hit by Flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts. We honor the 2976 fallen victims of this day. If you'd like to know some statistics of 9/11 click HERE.

Monday Mancat Update

*sigh*

This is to our the mom "NO EXCUSES, WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF DIS!!""

Yoo know, kittehs all she hears from us is Meow Meow Meow, we just dun know what to do!

Here's our updates -

Dere was no meetup, stuffs came up fer da beans that were going to be able to come. The mom did celebrate her (40th) purrthday at sum place wif trains, da blurp and the big guy. She was very touched by all the Happy Purrthdays she got! Fank yoo fer dem! We tried to gives her a litter box cake but she said "No fank yoo". Jake liked it though! MOL

The mom has discovered more stray kittehs in da yard. Yoo know she set up a few plastic totes fer shelter and always feeds them every night. The other night she went out to discover a kyoot tuxie kitten. The next night she discovered there were actually THREE tuxie kittens! Den dis mornin she saw what she finks is dere Mama kitteh. She wants dem to trust her so dat she can try and tame the little ones enuf to find homes fer dem. She finks dey is about 4 months old.

The strays Coco and Mooch are still here and we is finkin dey has NO intentions of leaving! We s'pose we can share her attentions wif dem?

We hasn't forgot - the mom, she's busy wif dat day / night huntin job (which we fink sucks acuz we cant bisit so much).

We just wanted one last total and a reminder of The meet up dat will happen at Roger Williams Park Zoo, in Providence, RI. It is still happenin on August 28 and the mom wud like to know a time dat everyone feels they can make it there. On a personal note, we is so sad dat 4 kittehs ran off to da bridge on the same day this week. The mom leaked tons and got our furs wet!

Remembering TT and Fatty

Two years and one day ago, our the mom made the hard but wise choice to help TT cross over to the Bridge. The mom's been thinking about her alot lately and we know she misses TT lots.

For a while, the blurp Hailey and the mom would sit on the bed at night, Hailey would play with TT's urn and then when it was time for night nights, Hailey would kiss TT's urn and put it back (where it is kept all the time on the headboard).

Fatty is always thought of too. The mom always visits Fatty's grave by the tree where she liked to lay. Fatty passed just 4 days before TT, 2 years ago as well.

The mom's eyes still leak but she knows that both TT and Fatty suffer no more. The hardest part of loving a furry child is letting them go ...

Hai Kittehs, wow its been ages since dat the mom has let me do my T4! She blames it on the new day huntin job but she dun hunt 24 / 7 does she? Poop on her pillow!!!

So here's whats been goin on -

Grayson Kitties - Rosemary gottdid a FULL sponsorship from a wonderful member of the Cat Blogosphere. A few of us sent in donations towards the full sponsorship of her kittens and for Landry, Eastwick, Paploo and Lorenzo. Now, Landry, Eastwick, Paploo and Lorenzo all gotidid full sponsorship so all green papers left over went towards the sponsorship of Rosemary's kittens. only Caraway, Chicory and Chive need full sponsorship - Justin and Paprika gots theirs.

This badge is for the CB beans that reached out and helped - all the way from as far away as Australia to the mid west of the USA! Yoo beans ROCK!!

Guess who will has a Purrthday on July 15? Dat's right, Trooder will be FIVE whole years old this week! Come by on Thursday to help us celebrate!

A sponsorship basically, involves making a donation in any amount to help cover the vetting needs of the shelter pet of your choice. If you would like to pay the full sponsorship fee for a cat or kitten, it costs $55.

Wednesday with Trooder

Molly, Shadow and Jake think Im hogging the blog lately and I know I am but I have so many impawtant things to say!

MY mom has dubbed me the ambassador to Grayson County Humane Society you all know thats who rescued me and I am furever grateful to them for not only helping me heal but to also find MY mom! Today I was told there were 10 mama kitties with 38 kittens to find homes for! The list I have does not include all of them but take a look and if your 'rents or some of their furiends are looking for a kitty (and even a nice doggie or two) take a peak at these wonderful furry loves, that would love to be in a furever home.

Mancat Monday - Adopt a shelter kitteh

I am a shelter kitty. I was very lucky the people at Grayson County Humane Society took me in and cared for me. I was so matted and dirty they actually thought I was a GIRL kitty! They soon found out I still had my mancat bits and once I was well had my mancat- ectomy. I am proud to say I will not help over populate the cat world.

So heres the deal, seeing as June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month I am going to show you some kittens and their moms who are at my favorite Humane Society. Please pass the word that these lovely females and their babies will have all their shots and be fixed when they go to a new home. Will it be part of yours?

M E O W

I'm new here, here being my new home.

You see, I had a rough life.

My human mommy found me in the parking lot of a mall (thats what she calls it).

I was friendly to her and she scooped me up and took me home.

She placed me in the bathroom so I could settle in. (The other two cats that live here kept bugging me.)

I didn't know if mommy was going to keep me but I knew that she had good food and a warm dry place for me to sleep.

I hid alot in the plastic box they put in there for me. It was warm and quiet.

For awhile I couldn't hear clearly so mommy kept putting this icky stuff into my ears. That stuff made my ears all squishy sounding but I can finally hear better now.

The kids here call me "new kitty", mommy called me "baby" for awhile, but finally the name that stuck was TT. I heard the big man here call me that saying it was short for "table troll". Whats a troll? Mommy makes it sound better though when she says TT Girl.
