Tattle Tale Tabby Tuesday

Hai Kittehs, Molly here! I has sooooo much to Tattle tell yoo today!!

Dis is Hailey wif "her" woofie, her name is Shana the INTROODER!

I is Jake! Does not seem impressed at this point - I know we weren't!

Shana is a rescue Boston Terrier.
She has had several homes and been back and forth between foster home.Yoo know what we dun like? Her eattin our NOMS! Yes, she eats our CAT fud.
Um yer a woofie, yoo is s'pose to eat stinky woofie fud.

From the Mom, Laure -
Shana is adjusting well to home life. She is about 4 or 5 years old and has never had a real stable forever home life. We intend to treat her just like our other furry kids - with love, respect and compassion. And it is true, Shana will not eat dog food, just Meow Mix, but we are working on that bad habit. Bit by bit, we have gotten her to eat some wet dog food, next will be dry. She doesn't bug the cats and really, they don't seem to blink twice around her. Welcome Home Shana Girl!

Frootbat Friday - those that came before

The mom has noo piccys and sum of dem has to do with dat PINK stuff yoo saw the other day. But fer now here is one that came before. His name was Fritz and dat bean in the piccy is the mom when she was about 3 years old. Fritz was a good woofie and she remembers all da fun times she had wif him. Sadly when Fritz got older he got pan-crea-itus and had to be helpded to the bridge.

Hims was accidentally run over by a metal machine, dats why hims in a cast there.

Snappy dresser there the mom! Fritz looks not too amused wif hims piccy bein taken!!

SPICEY the 2 year old Abyssinian male, missing from Forest Hill NSW (8km out of Wagga Wagga) from Saturday 14th May. Cinnamon/Ginger colour, with black collar and blue metal tag with name/number on. Loud insistent meow, very friendly, can be a little skittish and hard to catch. Really likes high spots and small spaces.

Spicey's bean misses him alot and wants him home. Please pass the word out about him and if you live in this area keep an eye out, surely Spicey is missing his home too!

Spicey's bean says " I know this group will feel my pain - my 2 year old Cinnamon Aby "Spicey" disappeared on Saturday morning last week and not been seen since. I live in hope he might come back, but I am not confident in that sadly. He last ate (with me) on Friday night, and I let him out for his morning wander - which he's usually out for about an hour and then scratching to come in again and see me, but this time no jingle of collar or scratching and meowing heard. It's now Tuesday morning. I'm very sad."

Hai Kittehs, is I MOOCH! The stray kitteh momma says sorry she's been busy, her metal machine has been ouchy lately and she hasnt much felt like bisiting or posting. She said she loves when I sleep in dis here spot, sumfin bout a TT use to do dat. Whatever dat is, it makes her smile! Im glads I can do dat!!

Hai Kittehs, guess wat? We gots a surprise on Friday. A guy named FX delivered this pawsome package to us kittehs. We won it by leaving Nikita a Happy Purrthday Message! We had left the 1400 comment on hims bloggie since they started on New Years of 2010.

Check it out, it IS addressed to us kittehs - we dun git much mail so dis was so 'citin!

Inside was a Cat Blogosphere Calendar, sum pawsome yummy catnip temptayshuns, and a Casbah kitty toy!

I of course, hads to check it all out myself, that is what us Knights do, right, make sure its safe? MOL

RUMOURS of animals being Euthanized - NOT TRUE

Here's an official report from The Emergency Disaster Animal Relief Headquarters & it's translation (Thanks to The Boasen's):

東日本大震災において、被災地の保健所で収容された犬や猫が殺処分されているというデマが出回っている、と聞きましたのでお知らせいたします。

動物のことにかぎらず、現地への連絡もまだままならない状態で不安に駆られる気持ちもわかりますが、ど...うぞ冷静にお願いいたします。

災害が発生したときは、普段の保健所の「迷子の犬や負傷猫を収容し、公示期間に飼い主が判明しなかった場合殺処分」という業務は停止します。

被災犬・猫は、緊急災害時動物救援本部で保護や管理がなされ、殺処分されることはありません。

これは阪神大震災以後に決められたことで、今までに被災犬・猫に殺処分が行われたことはありません。

緊急災害時動物救援本部は3/17現在、拠点の設置やフードの配送手配など行っているようですが、ガソリンの確保が出来なかったりなどでなかなか進まないようです。

不安に駆られてガソリンの買占めなど行うことは、救援物資の現地への配送を止めることになります。

どうぞ冷静にお願いいたします。

緊急災害時動物救援本部よりのお知らせです。

In the aftermath of the great earthquake disaster of eastern Japan, after hearing a false rumor circulating that dogs and cats housed in animal shelters in the disaster area are being euthanized, we make the following announcement.

We understand that there is a great deal of anxiety not just about animals, but also about the inability to make contact with affected areas, and we ask that you please remain calm. Upon the occurrence of this disaster, the usual protocol for euthanizing lost dogs and cats that go unclaimed following a certain notification period has been suspended.

At the Emergency Disaster Animal Relief Headquarters, relief and management is underway such that cats and dogs affected by the disaster will not be euthanized. This is in accordance with a decision made following the Great Hanshin Earthquake that euthanasia of disaster stricken dogs and cats is not undergone, a decision which is still in effect today.

Presently, on March 17th at the Emergency Disaster Animal Relief Headquarters, base establishment and food delivery arrangements appear to be underway, but the inability to secure gasoline is making progress difficult. Fear driven purchase and stockpiling of gasoline will prevent relief supplies from reaching affected areas. We ask everyone again to please remain calm.

Cat Island (Tashirojima) Japan

We knew nothing of Cat Island Japan, until the tsunami hit. Of course, us kittehs and the mom went and searched the interwebs high and low (just like many others) to see if any news had of the fate of this tiny fishing island, located near the epicenter. While there is no official news, there has been buzz from other places - which gives us hope! We is sendin off lots of hard purrs to Bast fer dem furries and non furries in Japan.

Each video is apx 10 minutes long, but it shows you some great insight to the Island.



Part 2



A lot of speculation as to the fate of Cat Island, is buzzing around everywhere. World Vets are getting veterinary supplies and a first responder team ready to deploy to Japan. You can find World Vets on Facebook as well.

"I have a friend in Japan who managed to get in touch with people who knew about Tashirojima – people and cats are said to be okay, but there was a lot of building damage and they need bare necessities for humans and cat food… The Japanese organizations said they couldn’t help at the moment (my friend was very frustrated) and he’s checking for some other foreign organisations which maybe could help. He also found out that a Japanese defence forces’ helicopter landed there this afternoon. So that’s hopeful. Lots of volunteers are going to be needed there to help rebuild the island."

Just to give everyone an update on Tashirojima, the cat island. The people and cats are safe but short of food. A volunteer looked into transporting food by boat, but the is too much debris in the water. A helicopter is the only way. The army will probably get a helicopter ready soon so we are looking into the possibility of asking them to take cat food too.

So the mom is lazy AGAIN. We has yet to train her to git wif da program here. We gots this award from Brian on Feb 22. At least she didnt forget about it like she has awards from da past.

1. Trooder - I like to sit on the mom but I dont like to be picked up.
2. Molly - A bean can only touch me when I SAY its okay, I's been that way since I was a kitten.
3. Shadow - I will only eat nip from a paper plate, not off the floor.
4. Mooch - I may be noo here but I stand my ground. I love the big man and show him my belleh all the time.
5. I is Jake! - Im a kitteh, ok I is not but I like to sit on the chairs and curl up like one.
6. Stray kitteh Coco - I dun like indoors, I only trust the mom lady person and the big guy - noone else can touch me.
7. We all love NIP, yea that includes the woofie.
